Carrefour Omnichannel Commerce
Majid Al Futtaim Carrefour is the UAE’s market leader in both food and consumer electronics retail, with 21 hypermarkets and 31 supermarkets.
We helped the retail giant re-platform its legacy non-food ecommerce onto an omnichannel setup and introduce online grocery.
We advised Carrefour’s ecommerce solution and implementation partner selection process to rapidly re-platform and launch online grocery by conducting a multidimensional evaluation of the candidate platforms.
Our multi-skilled team managed the overall programme and guided stakeholders to ensure internal work streams and platform developments would effectively meet the project’s objectives, budget and timeline constraints.
This included advising the process design when setting up the omnichannel operations and also managing end-to-end testing.
Drawing on our studio team’s extensive experience in food & non-food retail ecommerce and HTML integration, we were able to execute, under tight timelines, a customer-centric responsive design catering to both UAE shopper needs and Carrefour’s brand DNA.
Having successfully led and delivered the re-platforming project in just 8 months, our team then helped Carrefour launch their online grocery service in the UAE.
This milestone was instrumental in establishing the leadership of the retail giant in an increasingly competitive online market.
